My leopard gecko died wednesday. she had a prolapsed intestine, vet did everything she could but in the end Kirin was too hurt so we decided it was time to let her go... it's been a real lousy past couple months.

so I"m moved into my mom's house now. quitting petsmart once and for all. made the transfer and my new manager was a world class bitch to me my whole first day so I"m finishing out the week and never going back. school starts the 21st, brother and sister just went back to MA, but hey. at least I have my computer w/ internet connection in my room again....
had to take the puppy to the vet today. he got bitten by the old lady dog, picked up lexx's ashes. I think one of the big reasons (besides shitty boss) I leaving petsmart is that I do more animal emergency care living in this house than I ever got paid to.
but hey, I"m in gulfport, it's a creepy ass small town with appearantly a very large population of sex offenders.... yay... every time I learn something new about this town it just makes me wanna live here more

Thursday morning my water dragon, Lexx died of complications in an egg impaction. Dispite the vets wonderful efforts to get her to lay the eggs and even the concideration of surgery, my baby was too weak to survive it. She was 3, I will miss her terribly

Soggy Bottomed Poo Factories (aka hamsters)

ok, so I was never a fan of hamsters to begin with, but my job at pet store has really convinced me that these are horrible little creatures...
Already knew about the eating their own babies thing. could deal with that... hey! they're smaller, therefore, food! but wow... learning more about them at work and nothing good. got in some hamsters the other day, most of them had this common sickness known as wet tail.... well, they really get a wet tail.... it's stinky and gross and they tend to leak all over everything. not to mention the dementia... yes, a wet tail means yer hamster's demented! they run into things and fall over alot and have a complete inability to get up again so they roll in their soggy tail mess. it's really sad to watch! to make things worse, it's not just the babies that become snacks! I was medicating the soggy bottomed poo factories today when I noticed a very large (for hamsters) pool of blood in the bedding... I pulled the mass of nasty demented rodents away from it to find an especially sickly looking one in the middle of it. picked her up to give her meds and found her stomach had been chewed open and the other demented hamsters were snacking on her intestines! almost made my coworker and manager hurl... I just put it in a separate cage for the vet in the morning... yeah right. dead hamster. icky nasty little things.
so someone tell me.... why are these so popular with children????????

well, I pretty much have the job for petsmart. should be interesting. And I started a certificate course in AutoCAD. so far it's an interesting program. I could deal with it for a job. and peole pay good money for those who can use it so yeah. is good.

so a couple weeks ago my boss calls me up and tells me he needs to talk to me. I go in expecting the worst, and of course I get the worst. at least I get the reassurance that I scared my boss I guess. he was actually afraid to fire me, but then again he didn't really wanna fire me to begin with. his wife did. they're co owners and I pissed her off. Appearantly pulling $750 for her in a 5 hour shift just isn't good enough. I was by myself, with flocks of people, not enough tables because of the boss lady's poker game, and one guy in the kitchen.... I needed help with one table cause I'd just had 5 come in, kinda hard to get 5 groups of at least 3 their drinks at once, so I asked my boss lady for help getting drinks. next day I got the phone call. day before they were ranting and raving that I was a great employee and I"d gotten nothing but compliments.... yeeeah....
but today I have my second interview with Petsmart. so maybe I really get to be the lizard lady ^_^

but yes.... I blame sandwichwarrior... he jinxed me a couple days before all this happened ^.~
